Can you believe we are here thinking about Valentine's Day? I swear, the years get shorter the older I get. And while it almost seems criminal to be planning out my next holiday, the childlike part of me is thrilled. Because I love Valentine's Day.
As a child, my parents would always get us a gift on Valentine's Day. One of my happiest memories is from this holiday. My mom was cooking dinner, and my sister and I were laying on my parents' bed watching The Little Mermaid - not sure why we were in their room, but I remember it vividly. Then my dad got home from work and gave my sister and I each a stuffed animal and a truly massive heart box of assorted chocolates to share. Such a little memory, but it's one I hold close to my heart.
I've always loved the novelty of Valentine's Day. I love the cute little teddy bears and the heart clothing. I love that everyone is focused on loving one another rather than hating society. Despite what all you Singles Awareness haters want to say, Valentine's Day is not just for those who have a significant other. If there is someone in your life you want to show a little love, this is the time. Best friend? Love you! Aunt Judy with the funny hats? Love you! Mr. Dave from the pet store? Maybe you should get to know him a bit more, first...
The point is, you can give anyone special in your life a Valentine's gift. And this one is absolutely perfect for all you book lovers out there.
Introducing the Rose Book Valet
I have to brag on my beloved sister, Kaylee, because she is the brains behind this stunning rose design. Our shop offers several different book valets - some customizable, some more geometric or feminine, but this one takes the cake, in my opinion. Kaylee hand drew this breathtaking rose design, and I could not be more proud of what she came up with. Seriously, just look at it! I want one for every room in my house, but my husband would absolutely think I'm insane (and I don't need to give him any more ammunition in that department).
One of the most common gifts for Valentine's Day is flower bouquets. And let's be honest: as beautiful as they are, they're a gift you can enjoy for a week, at most. Then you dump them in the trash and carry on like it never happened. Which is kind of sad, considering it was a thoughtful gift from someone who loves you. I don't know about you, but those are the kind of gifts I want to keep. And even if you were to press those flowers, there isn't too much of a use for them.
Cue the roses - in bookworm fashion!
What makes this gift so precious is that not only is it thoughtful and still on theme, it is incredible useful. I love curling up with a good book, and have been known to read lots of regency romance around this time of year. And now I have a lovely way to save my spot, as well as set my coffee. Because you can't read without a hot beverage, it's simply criminal.
Just imagine the romantic potential this gift has. I can see it now. Met your girlfriend at a book shop? Set this up with a new book and steaming espresso and you won Valentine's Day. Oh! And if you want to propose, hollow out the inside of the book and hide a ring! Then it's a gift within a gift and a lifetime of happiness!
Look at me. I'm a proposal planner.
Jokes aside, this is one of those genius gifts that you seriously can't go wrong with. And I'm not simply hyping it up because my sweet bestie/sister-in-law designed it; I genuinely love this. I have a book valet in my home and I can confirm it's not only useful, but also beautiful.
Get yours now and have the most magical Valentine's Day ever.
