Hang out with us!

Our blog, Ad Libetum, which is a Latin phrase meaning “as it pleases” is sorted into categories.  See what we have in common. It’s easy to find what most interests you. We write about our interests, and give you a peek the behind the scenes at what we’re building out in the workshops.

Genealogy inspires us! We set out to build household items that serve a purpose and also allow us to share the story of our family as part of our everyday surroundings.  We have a lot of content about Virginia and West Virginia genealogy because so many of our ancestors lived there over the last couple of centuries. Each has a group on Facebook to help you collaborate with others and us on your family tree projects. Whether you have family ties to these parts of the country or not, you can learn how to explore your own ancestry by our examples.
